Summary: With key contributions from Roy Eidelson and Steven Reisner, the Coalition for an Ethical Psychology has developed this 10-year timeline to document, demonstrate, and educate regarding the involvement of psychologists and the American Psychological Association (APA) in torture and detainee mistreatment during the "War on Terror."

Navigation: Use the horizontal scrollbar just below the Timeline to move forward or backward in time from 2001 to 2011. Click on any entry for more information about that event.

Search: The timeline also includes a search function. Enter your keyword or phrase in either the filter-by-tex box or the highlight-by-text box. Matching events will be marked in the lower, black band of the timeline.

Comments/Suggestions: We welcome comments and suggestions for additional entries at timeline@ethicalpsychology.org.
